In July 2011 Council revisited it’s Tree Preservation Policy and is still considering its position on this controversial issue.

TRRA can understand the frustration of some ratepayers with over zealous Council Staff, who did not inform them properly of procedures or rights of appeal.  However the proposed changes would have virtually removed all protection for vegetation and in TRRA’s opinion, went too far.
