Salamander Centre workshops

Council’s Commercial section, via consultants ADW Johnson, is running three workshops over the next two months to develop ‘planning principles’ for the Council owned land around the centre. TRRA and other interest groups have been invited and we will be attending.

TRRA has been promised a written reply next week to its 4 May letter seeking information about the planning context/requirements, but it seems the strategic planners are pretty much in the dark about the Commercial section’s intentions – they will be involved in the workshops as an ‘internal stakeholder’ (the assessment planners need to keep their distance as they may have to assess DAs in due course).

We probably won’t find out much more until the first workshop (if then!), but TRRA’s position will be to try for ‘Principles’ that are as close to a Masterplan as we can get, and which cover all of the issues we raised in our submissions back in 2009-10.
