Following Council’s decision to webcast its meetings, we understand that this is due to commence with the 27 March meeting. There will be a link and explanation on the Council website.  Intending viewers need to be aware that this will not be ‘Parliament’ quality and will depend on viewer’s equipment and internet connection. Our suggestion that Committee meetings also be webcast has not been taken up, apparently because Councillors do not want to hold Committee meetings in the Council chamber where the equipment is set up.

Councillors have also decided to continue in the short term with the meeting cycle of Committee on the first Tuesday of each month and full Council on the fourth Tuesday, but they are also adding an additional opportunity for ‘public access’ – on the third Tuesday at 5.30 pm as well as prior to Committee meetings.
